On this short section, I am providing you the setup for installation of the program, and the patcher to fully activate Foxit.
You usually can get setups with trial mode from official sources… it happens that I had some difficulties to get the setup for the new version 8.0. Every emails they sent me, was redirecting to the setup for 7.3 version… after several attempts, I finally reached the correct setup. In case you need, you can download the setup file which I uploaded. I will always try to upload setups for the different versions that Foxit release, while they don’t fix the issue on their website. You will also be able to download updates file only, on the bottom of this article.
UPDATE: The links seems to be working correctly now. You download the correct setup from the website. If you want to skip registration, which is required for download, use the links below.
Finally, the patcher. It was developed by D10N4*, but I am working on my own version, and hopefully will release it soon. My goal is do something based on BATCH and/or manual steps, just to avoid false positive warnings from antivirus that you might have using the above patcher… yeah, disable real time protection for a while or add the patch to the exclusion list. Below, you can find different patch versions according with different version releases. You must use the patcher that matches your Foxit version.
*For versions 188.8.131.525, the patcher is different. The images below match this new tool, not the one developed by D10N4 and that I used for previous versions.
Once you downloaded the setup, run and follow all instructions. When done, close the program. Note: If you already had Foxit installed, and trial is enabled, the patcher should also work. You must, however, ensure the program is not running. If it fails, try to uninstall and do a clean install using the setup I provided above.
On this section, probably the most important, I will explain how to patch the program. You must download the patcher from first section, Getting Started, decompress the executable file, and place it on installation directory of PhantomPDF.
Finally, run the patcher, and click on the button Patch. It’s as simple as that. Make sure the output doesn’t show any error. If yes, you can leave a comment so that I can help you.
You should be able to run Foxit and have full version now 🙂
